SOUWA was born from a deep appreciation for the quiet beauty of Japanese tea and the enduring heritage of Uji, Kyoto — a town long celebrated for its tea culture.

We work together with a tea farm in Uji, where generations of craftsmanship have been carefully preserved. Through this partnership, we hope to share tea that is truly good, thoughtfully selected, and rich in quality.

At SOUWA, we believe tea is more than a drink. It is a small ritual — a calm moment that brings comfort, beauty, and harmony into everyday life.

Our name, SOUWA (奏和), reflects this spirit. “Sou” (奏) carries the meaning of bringing forth, delivering, or playing in harmony, while “Wa” (和) represents harmony, Japanese sensibility, and peaceful balance. Together, SOUWA expresses our wish to deliver harmony through every cup.
